On this page
You get an Instagram activity tracker to figure out what your partner’s been up to online. But when you check, you get a wall of names, likes, and activity, all fighting for your attention. Somewhere in there is the one thing you actually care about: who they’re following, when they followed the account, and what posts they’re liking. But where? You scroll. You squint. Your brain goes into overdrive. 🌀
More information should make you feel better. Too often, it does the opposite. The best tracker isn’t the one that shows you everything. It’s the one that shows you what matters, the moment it matters. That’s the real test in any Dolphin Radar vs Recent Follow vs Social Snitch matchup.
To find out which one pulls that off, we compared three trackers: Dolphin Radar, Recent Follow, and Social Snitch.
A quick word on fairness: Social Snitch is ours, so we’re not neutral, and we won’t pretend to be. Instead, we stuck to what each company publishes on its own website and pricing page, as of October 2026. Where a rival beats us, you’ll see it in black and white.
The quick verdict
Short on time? Dolphin Radar is the cheapest Instagram follow tracker if one account and a weekly report are enough, and it covers likes. Recent Follow is the fastest, with real-time alerts and unlimited accounts, but it costs $12 a week, doesn’t list likes, and leaves the sorting to you. Social Snitch covers two accounts with daily updates plus refresh on demand, a weekly view of new follows, and likes on Premium, from $4.97 a week.
How the three compare
Getting started 👋
Dolphin Radar asks you to pick a plan for one account. Your first visit is also a bit of a tour, because its tools are spread across different sections and not all of them appear on the dashboard.

Recent Follow is just as quick off the mark. No Instagram login, only the username you want to track, and tracking begins instantly. Its plan covers unlimited accounts.
Social Snitch runs fully online, so there’s nothing to download. You don’t log in to Instagram either. Type in a public account, and tracking starts on the spot. Your first new follows show up after the next daily check. You can add a second account on either plan.
When something new happens
Dolphin Radar saves it for your weekly report, with activity report email alerts to let you know. By then, it may be days old.
Recent Follow sends a live alert the moment it happens.
Social Snitch picks it up at its next daily check, or sooner if you hit Sync. It’s not instant, but it’s never a week behind.

Making sense of it all 🤔
This is where overload hits hardest, and where the tools split.
Dolphin Radar sends its weekly report. On quarterly and annual plans, you also get AI insight modules and CSV downloads, which are great if you enjoy digging through data.
Recent Follow lets you view all followers and follows, plus stories, posts, and highlights. That’s a lot to see. Its plan doesn’t list likes, reports, or analysis, though, so working out what’s important is up to you.
Social Snitch rounds up the week’s new follows in a weekly view on your dashboard, so you skip the endless scroll. Premium adds a weekly likes report showing every post they liked.
Pricing 💳
Dolphin Radar costs $4.49 a month for one account, with cheaper monthly rates on its quarterly ($10.99) and annual ($32.99) plans. Two annual plans, paid upfront, cover two accounts for about $5.50 a month.

Recent Follow has one plan, Expert, at $12 a week, shown as reduced from $30. There’s also a quarterly option advertised as saving 30%.

Social Snitch costs $4.97 a week on Starter or $7.97 a week on Premium. Both plans are paid, and both cover two accounts.

If you take a break
Dolphin Radar lets you download CSV reports on longer plans, so you can save your own copy before you go. When you cancel, the service stops.
Recent Follow doesn’t say what happens to your data when you cancel.
Social Snitch saves your accounts and history when you cancel, so it’s all there when you come back. You can’t view them while your plan is canceled, and nothing is tracked in between.

The case for each one
Dolphin Radar makes sense if you’re focused on a single account, a weekly update is fast enough, and you want the lowest bill. It’s the cheapest of the three by a wide margin.
Recent Follow makes sense if you want to track lots of accounts and hear about follows the moment they happen. Unlimited tracking on one plan is something neither of the other two offers. Just know you’ll pay $12 a week, well over twice Social Snitch’s Starter price; it doesn’t list likes, and you’ll be sorting through everything yourself.
Social Snitch makes sense if you want calm instead of chaos. You get daily updates plus refresh on demand, a weekly view of new follows, likes on Premium, and history that’s saved for when you come back. And it covers two accounts for well under half of Recent Follow’s weekly price.
Where Social Snitch falls short: it tops out at two accounts, it isn’t real-time (Recent Follow is), it shows new follows but not unfollows, and it isn’t the cheapest option if one account and weekly updates are enough.
